Betsy completed her Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Certificate in Trauma Counseling at Antioch University in 2023. Betsy has worked with adults aged 18-80 on a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic trauma, mood disorders, and grief. Betsy has completed additional training in the neurobiology of trauma, trauma-informed practice, attachment, and the role of mindfulness and self-compassion in therapy. She has special interests in grief, trauma, and perinatal mental health. Prior to working as a clinical mental health counselor, Betsy worked as a sleep consultant for mothers and infants. Betsy’s practice centers collaborative, strengths-based psychotherapy grounded in neurobiology, and draws on approaches from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and directed mindfulness.
