Behavioral Health Clinician
Jazmin completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 2020 from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Prior to pursuing her master’s education, Jazmin worked as a unit supervisor in a residential facility in Oregon for adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. In July 2017 Jazmin started working as a care coordinator for foster youth in Oregon who qualified for therapeutic foster care, while also completing internships in an elementary school as a School Counselor and as a Behavioral Health Clinician at Oregon Health and Science University. At Little Rivers Health Care, Jazmin is currently providing individual and family counseling services at the Bradford Clinic, as well as with students at Waits River Valley School and Bradford Elementary School.
Jazmin utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach, meaning that there are a variety of different approaches that she uses depending on the needs of the client. Her primary therapeutic approaches include brief Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Play Therapy. Although Jazmin has worked with a variety of ages, her specialty is with children ages 4-18 and families. Jazmin has experience working with individuals who have experienced symptoms of depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, trauma, and other mental health diagnoses.
