KIM THERRIEN

Kim is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 35 years of experience working with children, individuals, and families. Kim has worked in community mental health settings, residential settings, school settings, in medical practice settings, as well as home visits to provide counseling, support and education. She has taught parenting classes, childbirth education classes, parenting support groups, and co-facilitated Strengthening Families programs in both Vermont and New Hampshire. Kim utilizes many modalities and approaches in her work including Play Therapy, Trauma-Informed Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Early Childhood Development, Parenting Education, and EMDR for complex PTSD and children, as well as a variety of psycho-dynamic approaches. Currently, Kim is providing services at the LRHC Bradford clinic and the Thetford Elementary School.
