Kim is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has a 33-year history of working with children and families, in various settings. She worked in a group home for pregnant and parenting teens where she taught parenting classes, childbirth education classes, and provided support, education, and home visits to teen moms in the Upper Valley Region of Vermont and New Hampshire. She has co-facilitated Strengthening Families programs in both Vermont and New Hampshire. Kim has worked in community mental health settings, school settings, and in medical practice settings to provide counseling, support, and education. She utilizes many approaches in her work including, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Early Childhood Development and Parenting Education, managing anxiety and depression, and variety of psycho-dynamic approaches. Currently Km is providing services in the Bradford Clinic of LRHC, including facilitating a parenting support group on Wednesday evenings from 5 – 6 pm; and she is embedded 3 days a week at the Thetford Elementary School where she sees children individually and provides family counseling.
