Shanna Meyer

Shanna is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and a Board Certified Music Therapist specializing in trauma-informed and integrative mental health care. She earned her Master's degree in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Music Therapy, from Lesley University and completed a post-graduate Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies at The Trauma Center in Brookline, MA. Shanna has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults impacted by complex trauma in residential, educational, and outpatient settings. She has held leadership roles overseeing trauma-informed programs and expanding access to innovative, evidence-based behavioral health services. Her clinical approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), expressive therapies, and the ARC Framework. She tailors treatment to each client's unique strengths, goals, and needs. In addition to her clinical training, Shanna is passionate about integrative mental health and the connection between mind and body. She is a certified yoga teacher and certified ayurvedic nutritionist, bringing a holistic perspective to supporting resilience and overall well-being. Outside of work, Shanna enjoys singing, cooking, yoga, meditation, spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and spending time with her pups.
