STACY WAYLAND
LICSW
Behavioral Health Clinician
Stacy earned her master's in social work (MSW) from Simmons University in 2019 through the SW@S online program. Post graduation, she began working as a hospital social worker at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Over two and a half years, she supported patients and families across the surgical and cardiac floors, as well as in the intensive care units—most notably the COVID ICU. The experience of practicing through the pandemic deepened Stacy’s reflection on her professional goals and led her to pursue work that allowed for greater continuity of care and long-term therapeutic relationships.
This path brought her to Little Rivers Health Care, where she now provides individual counseling at the Newbury clinic, as well as in-home support for patients enrolled in the Chronic Care Management Program and she is the Behavioral Health Intake Clinician for Little Rivers. In her role, Stacy offers a safe and supportive space where clients can show up authentically, process life’s challenges, and draw on their strengths.
Her counseling approach is eclectic and client-centered, always guided by meeting people where they are. Stacy integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and a Strengths-Based perspective into her work. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in both Vermont and New Hampshire.
